Entry C - Udder

Udder View

Entry C stands at the front of the line due to her strength in general appearance and body capacity . She stands on stronger feet and legs than Entry D, has a stronger topline, and has a greater spring of rib. Entry C's udder is more correctly shaped with a greater area of attachment in the rear. C will be our Best Udder.

Entry D - Udder

Udder View

Entry D stands ahead of Entry B for having a deeper barrel and an udder that is more capacious with a stronger medial suspensory ligament. (Entry D would better show her conformation if set up with hocks under the pin bones and the photo taken at a right angle to the axis of the body.)

Entry B - Udder

Udder View

Entry B places ahead of Entry A since she is in milk. Though the udder is small, it has even halves and the teats are properly placed. Entry B also shows smoother blending. I would like to see stronger pasterns and more correctly angulated rear legs.

Entry A is a dry doe and cannot easily compete with lactating does. She is to be commended for her width and depth. The area between her hocks is spacious enough to accommodate a capacious udder.
