Two very nice Senior Does and a Champion Challenge is always fun!  Congratulations to both participants!

The AOM Senior Doe Best of Breed is awarded to the Mini Alpine, Entry A, from the 4 to 5 year old age division.  In General Appearance this doe is longer in bone as seen through her loin and from elbow to flank,  her withers are sharper, longer in her lean neck, and tighter in her toe set.  From above she shows a flatter more refined shoulder giving her a clearer dairy wedge in Dairy Character as well as from the side being deeper in the barrel in Body Capacity.  This doe earns more points on the score card for her Mammary System having a balanced symmetric udder with good downward pointing teats as well as shape for ease of milking.
The Champion Challenger has good General Appearance showing good width in her chest floor and in her rump,  she has a nice level uphill topline, good extension to the brisket and in Body Capacity has good depth of heart.  Being a dry Senior doe did not give her any extra points from the score card but she does have good height and width in the escutcheon area.
