Do I have to be a member of MDGA?

Yes, you must be a member of MDGA to participate in the V-Show.

Do my goats have to be registered with MDGA?

You may only enter animals registered with MDGA. If your animals are pending registration, you may enter and make a note to the V-Show Coordinator.

Can I show horned goats?

Yes you can! A perk of an online show!

How much are entries?

Entries are $10 per goat. Late entries are $15 per goat.

What size do my photos need to be?

Your photo size does not matter, please leave space around your goat when taking photos. You will be able to crop your images within the entry form. tothe correct specifications. 

Do I need to clip my goat?

It is suggested, but not required to clip your goat for the V-Show. Clipping helps to give the goat a clean look and allows the judge to better see the animal’s conformation. You can give a “Dairy Clip”, trimming the udder, feet, and legs, and trim away any other long hair.

Can I re-use previous V-Show pictures?

You may only use photos taken after the previous V-Show has started. 

Can I change out the photos I submitted?

Once you submit your entry, you will not be allowed to swap out entry photos.

How old does my goat have to be?

There are no age limits on goats that can be entered in the V-Show. 

What do I win?

If your goat wins Best in Show, Grand Champion, or Reserve Grand Champion, MDGA will send you a printable show win certificate at the completion of the show. MDGA does not give out ribbons for the V-Show.
